Labotemp Magnetic Hotplate Stirrer MAS-101 combines controlled heating and magnetic stirring in one benchtop unit for simultaneous sample mixing and heating. Its 184 × 184 mm glass-ceramic work plate provides a chemical-resistant surface, while a brushless DC motor supports stirring up to 1500 rpm. The unit accommodates up to 20 L of water and accepts magnetic stir bars up to 80 mm long. Heating ranges from room temperature to 550°C in 1°C increments, with temperature control accuracy of ±1°C below 100°C and ±1% above 100°C. Built-in PID control and LCD displays support temperature and speed monitoring.
External PT1000 temperature probe supports external temperature control with stated accuracy of ±0.2°C. Speed adjustment ranges from 100 to 1500 rpm with 1 rpm resolution. Overheat protection operates at 580°C, and a flashing “HOT” warning activates when work plate temperature exceeds 50°C, including when switched off. RS232 connectivity supports PC control and data transmission. Two rotating knobs adjust speed and temperature. Unit dimensions are 215 × 360 × 112 mm, with a weight of 5.3 kg.
